Education Services
Teaching and learning in the Ross Valley School District is a collaborative endeavor. Our dedicated teaching staff regularly engages in professional development to deepen their understanding of best practices and share their insights with their colleagues. Students in Ross Valley benefit from the support of an entire community—teachers, staff, and parents—who work together to help every child thrive both academically and emotionally.
Our classrooms are vibrant communities of inquiry where students and teachers collaborate to make meaning—whether exploring literature, uncovering the inner workings of scientific phenomena, or developing and sharing strategies to solve authentic, real-world mathematical challenges. Student learning is further enriched by a robust visual and performing arts program, nurturing creativity and addressing the needs of the whole child.
The Education Services Department is responsible for the district-wide coordination of our TK through 8th-grade instructional program. Our work encompasses curriculum, materials, and professional learning, with a focus on:
- Supporting the implementation of the California State Standards
- Facilitating the use of benchmark assessments and other data to inform instructional decisions
- Promoting best classroom practices and effective instructional strategies
- Engaging educators in a continuous cycle of professional inquiry and growth
- Advancing academic excellence through rigor, relevance, and relationships
